Expand the Universe With Us

As we mention often, Zerosun was started out of a love of cinema and moviemaking. We’ve been a Denver video production company for more than 15 years now, and the filmmaking world continues to spin on. Our first year in business saw “Slumdog Millionaire” as the year’s Best Picture winner. Recently we watched “One Battle After Another” named the Academy’s pick for best film of the year.

As filmmakers, we love any opportunity to talk about and admire the stories being told around the world. But as another Oscar season has come and gone, so, too, has another winter. We’ve been spending more time out of the edit bay after a busy winter locked away in the post-production process for a number of projects. But spring has reached us, and we can feel all of the newness in the air.

With the return of warmer weather has come an assessment of the tools of our trade. We’re moving forward with our fleet of trusty Canon cinema cameras, though it’s always difficult to avoid window shopping for lenses, microphones, and other new toys to add to our toolbox. But staying on top of gear and technological advancements is part of being in the video production business, which is why we’ve gotten so focused on things like cameras, software, and even the use of AI in video production. As a new season of production emerges, we’re stepping into it making sure every video we deliver is as future-proof as it is resonant.

Expanding the universe

We have several projects currently moving through the Zerosun video production process, but we’re finding ourselves most excited when we’re talking about storytelling and video production in general. We recently talked with a client about why watching a corporate video—and even a brand film for that matter—can feel more like a requirement and less like a moviegoing experience. It’s a distinction we’re passionate about, as we’re always trying to move our thinking away from check-the box content and toward intentional, communication-minded storytelling.

We also, however, want to deepen our conversations with those out there looking for a video production partner, as well as other video production professionals. In order to do so, we recently launched “Welcome To the Universe,” a monthly newsletter that gives us a space to talk about everything we’re up to and ways we’ve been collaborating with our video partners.

But our newsletter is only the beginning of such conversations.
