BLEND IMC & ZEROSUN TEAM UP

EVERY PHASE IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT

Not every project is your typical start to finish production. Often times we lend our expertise to projects that only incorporate our team for specific phases of production. This particular project we specialized in pre-production and field production. We were called by Julia Smith, Executive Producer from Blend IMC , who needed to hire a knowledgeable local production company to coordinate, plan, hire crew, reserve production space and shoot creative high quality content. These were just a few of the objectives that had to be covered. Team Zerosun moved quickly into action, discussing each and every end and out with the executive producer.

MOST PARAMOUNT PHASE OF PRODUCTION IS PRE-PRODUCTION

As we began to dive deeper into pre-production, we synchronized schedules, creative visions, Director’s notes, storyboards, scripts, gear, crews and every informative aspect helpful to production. Although Zerosun was hired for pre- and field productions, we took great care and respect in the planning and filming with high regard towards to the end result.

In total, we were in the field for 4 days. First day was focused on meeting the Blend team in person and spending time at the studio space for proper build out. The second day was buzzing with a full crew, talent snacking in the green room, makeup and hair touch ups in the incredible light of the beauty room and everyone integrating accordingly. The third and fourth days were focused on reenactments and b-roll, since all the interviews were perfectly lit and recorded in the studio. Each day had a specific approach and purpose. As we wrapped on Friday the teams were ecstatic to realize we obtained immaculate footage far beyond the need.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Going above and beyond the basic requirements and need – that’s what it is all about! An aspect that is so wonderful about our industry is having the ability to explore and take ownership of the many stages of production, whether that is all phases or just a portion. Every project and client is unique and being prepared to take on any situation is key. Having the opportunity to zero in on pre- and field production was not only a blast, but gave us the chance to showcase our powerful skills when concentrating on specific steps in the process.
