Boppy, Red Rocks, and the Summer Behind Us

As we’ve all started working our way through the summer, the edit bay has given way to a busy stretch of production here at Zerosun. The variety of work coming through has been a reminder of why we got into this business, and why professional video production matters more than ever.

One project we’d like to shine a light on right now is a shoot we recently wrapped for Boppy, a nursing pillow company based in Golden, CO. They’ve got some top-secret new products in the pipeline, and we’ve been fortunate enough to be their video production partner.

Boppy deliverables include a series of videos that will live on the Boppy website and be highlighted at major vendors like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

Regardless of what projects we’re working on, we’re being asked more and more about AI in video production, which we feel is a power tool to keep in our toolbox.

We have a lot of enthusiasm for what AI can do and a healthy respect for what it can’t. Nothing has reinforced that feeling more than the success of Project Hail Mary, a film that serves as a great reminder of what practical effects and genuine human craft can do.

Authentic, real footage captured in the moment has a feeling to it that audiences respond to, even if they can’t articulate why. That’s not going anywhere.

The Rest of the Universe

With hotter temperatures right around the corner, we’re energized by the range of working finding its way to us. While our videos for Boppy have made their way into our post-production process, several other projects have kept us busy this month.

We’ve been deep in post on a project for the Colorado Department of Transportation called Winter-ize My Ride, a scripted production featuring local comedian and Comedy Works regular Vinnie Montez as the host. Scripted work with professional talent is always a fun environment, and we’re excited to share this one when it makes its way out of the edit bay.

We also recently wrapped a video for Red Rocks Amphitheater, a long-time client that we’ve now been able to make multiple anniversary videos for. We just completed a celebration video for its 85th anniversary, and the venue’s popularity reminds us what a great time summer is for gathering.
